Dental Services

Braces

We install both traditional and Invisalign braces to properly align your teeth for improved functionality and appearance. Invisalign has the advantage of being practically undetectable to the naked eye, even from a short distance.

Implants

If you’ve lost teeth to injury or decay, implants may be a good option for restoration. Implants are installed surgically, directly into the patient’s jaw below the gum line. After the initial post is installed and has healed and bonded with the jawbone (a process which can take a number of months) an abutment is attached to the post, upon which an artificial tooth is attached. Depending on the circumstances, this stage can be completed in one session.

Crowns and caps

Crowns and caps are used to restore teeth that are damaged, but are not to the point whereby extraction is the only viable option. A crown is essentially a hollow tooth that is adhered to the tooth below. The crown not only protects the underlying tooth, but also carries out a cosmetic function.

Bridges

A bridge is an effective treatment for missing teeth. Bridges can replace one or more teeth and work by implanting a post either into adjoining teeth or the jaw. A bridge is only feasible where there is a strong foundation to which it can be attached.

Root canals and gum treatment

When the pulp inside a tooth becomes badly infected, root canals are used to solve the problem. A root canal is a dental procedure in which a hole is drilled into the top of the tooth and infected pulp is extracted from the root canal. The space is then filled in and a crown placed on top of the tooth. Following treatment, dental pain is no longer present and the tooth can be used as normal.

Whitening

We all want healthy, beautiful smiles. The best way to get a healthy smile is, of course, with regular cleaning and maintenance. But sometimes, even regular cleaning and flossing might not be enough to keep your pearly whites, pearly white. Whitening is an effective and quick way to brighten your smile. For best results, you should combine dental office whitening with at-home whitening too.

Full exam and cleaning

During an exam, we’ll examine every aspect of your dental and oral health. We will assess the state of individual teeth, as well as the gums, the mouth itself, and take X-rays to get a deeper understanding of your overall dental health. We will also clean your teeth too, which while essential for oral health, can also help to uncover additional oral issues.

Invisalign

Invisalign is a newer method for aligning crooked or misshaped teeth. Like traditional braces, Invisalign works by applying pressure to specific points to create a more natural, uniform appearance, and to improve functionality. Invisalign has the added benefit of being practically invisible to the naked eye.

Restorations

If you’ve lost teeth to injury or decay, or you will need extractions, don’t worry; all is not lost. At Noor Dental we provide a number of restoration options. Losing teeth can have a number of incredibly negative impacts. Not only can the loss of teeth have a psychological effect, it can also have major physical ramifications. Losing molars can cause localized sinking on the face where teeth once where, creating a sunken, a-symmetrical appearance. Not only this, but missing teeth can create a knock-on effect where remaining teeth are required to take on more work—thus increasing the possibility of failure / decay / damage over time. Replacing missing teeth, whether via dentures, bridges, or implants is the best way to prevent further damage and to improve appearance and function.

Sealants

Prevention is always the best medicine. Using a dental sealant is an effective method for preventing damage to teeth. Molars and premolars are prone to cavities and damage. While brushing and flossing is effective at removing food particles, it’s not always as effective for back teeth. Using sealants can prevent damage to the tooth surface caused by hard-to-remove particles.

Veneers and bonding

Veneers and bonding are two effective ways to improve the look of your teeth. Veneers and bonding are applied to the front teeth using a bonding agent. Veneers are made from a composite resin that is matched to your teeth’s natural colour. Just like veneers, bonding agents are colour-matched to your natural teeth. Your dentist can repair chipped teeth using layers of composite resin, which is then shaped and polished once hardened. During your next visit, your dentist can inspect and polish the tooth if required.
